Biggest entertainment story of 2015

Caitlyn Jenner coming out as transgender seemed to be the biggest entertainment story of 2015. Although, I personally do not like her, she did have the media all over her. It was a big year for trans people. She put a face to a minority group

Most important person of 2015

Angela Merkel is the most important person of 2015. She has met with multiple world leaders. The German chancellor is well-respecteed among some and has become widely known. I chose this picture because it shows how she is even allowed to speak with President Obama at a summit.

Most Important News Story of 2015

The most important news story of 2015 was the Paris attacks story. I chose this picture because it both represented both the sadness and the resilience of the city. There is a candlelight service mourning the loss of the ones who were killed in the attacks. Yet, in the middle of the photo there are children and one of them is holding the flag of France. To me that represents the resilience that city has shown the world.

Best Movie of 2015

In my (unpopular) opinion, Bridge of Spies was the best movie of 2015. With Tom Hanks as the lead lawyer helping a man who is wanted by the german government during the cold war, this movie tells a great true story of a time when communism could not thrive. I chose this picture because it shows both of the main characters in their main light

Best Song of 2015

The best song of 2015 was Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars. I believe this because it is a song that never fails to get people dancing and singing along. This photo is of Bruno Mars dancing to Uptown Funk on the live performance of Uptown Funk on SNL (Saturday Night Live). Behind him is Mystikal dancing along with Mark Ronson giving the tunes. This is one of my favorite songs and I remember watching this performance last spring live when it happened, dancing in my bedroom.

Favorite Photos of 2015

I like this photo because the Supreme Court's ruling on same-sex marriage was a historical event in US history. The white house being lit up in rainbow colors front and center was a nice sign of support for the nation.

I like this photo because it shows refugees fleeing their country of war for a better life.

I like this photo because it is fun and it shows Adele, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots playing classroom instruments to the tune of Hello.
